New Mexico 2010 Results

Results of the Latino Decisions New Mexico election eve poll will be posted Tuesday November 2nd at 8:00pm mountain time. The poll is co-sponsored with the National Council of La Raza, SEIU, and America’s Voice.

Latino vote for Governor
Dianne Denish: 61%
Susana Martinez: 38%

Latino share of voters: 37%
Latino contribution to Denish: +8.5

Latino vote for Sec State
Mary Herrera: 62%
Dianna Duran: 37%

Latino share of voters: 37%
Latino contribution to Herrera: +9.3

Note: Latino contribution is the net amount Latino votes contributed to the overall margin for the winning candidate. It is calculated by taking the partisan vote advantage for one candidate (i.e. 61% to 38% = partisan advantage of +23) and multiplying it by the Latino share of the electorate. If Latinos provide Denish with a +23 vote advantage, and comprise 37% of the electorate, that translates into a net contribution of 8.5 points towards Denish’s overall margin.
